紙板的厚度也是紙箱外觀重缺陷檢驗項日之一。紙板的厚度指標如何，直接影響到紙板的邊壓強度、戳穿強度和抗壓強度等性能，而影響紙板厚度指標的原因有多種情況，如瓦楞輥齒尖(頂)部位磨損變低、導紙片沒有調整好、單面機的速度過快、外界壓力過高以及瓦楞輥溫度偏低等。若瓦楞紙板厚度偏薄的話，它的邊壓強度、戳穿強度和抗壓強度等性能，也將相應下降。瓦楞紙板的楞型不同，厚度也有所差異。

If the thickness of corrugated board is too thin, its edge compressive strength, puncture strength and compressive strength will also decrease accordingly. Corrugated board has different corrugated type and thickness.

瓦楞紙板厚度是指在一定壓力下瓦楞紙板上下面間的垂直距離，實驗室通常采用瓦楞紙板厚度計檢測紙板的厚度，測量時，選擇紙板上無損壞、無壓痕、無塌瓦的若干部位(距邊緣不小于50mm)作為檢測點，分別置于測量頭與量砧之間進行測量，并分別讀取百分表的測量數值。取樣數量一般為10個，較后，求其平均值，即為檢驗結果。紙板的厚度大，紙箱的垂直抗壓和平面抗壓性能相應也就高。所以，瓦楞紙板的厚度指標，是生產過程中不可忽視的檢測項目。

三、邊壓強度

一定寬度的試樣，單位長度所能承受的壓力叫邊壓強度，它是指承受平行于瓦楞方向壓力的能力。按照有關的標準，邊壓強度的試樣從3個桿箱中，每個分別切取3塊無機械壓痕、無印刷痕跡和損壞的試樣，試樣的瓦楞方向應為短邊，試樣規格為25mm x100mm，誤差±0．5mm。這就要求取樣器的刀口應保持的鋒利，并且刀架上的刀片，安裝位置要合適，刀刃口與刀槽所成角度可調整45°為適。

此外，刀尖不可碰擦到刀槽底部，防止刀口彎曲變形，使切取出來的試樣邊緣瓦楞容易出現損壞和起毛現象，影響檢測的準確性。邊壓強度的換算公式為：R= F／L x 103。式中：R為瓦楞紙板試樣邊緣的抗壓強度，用N／m表示：F是試樣壓潰時讀取的力值；L是試樣長邊的尺寸，單位是mm。原紙的環壓強度和紙板的粘合強度如何，很大程度上決定著紙板的邊壓強度。

四、粘合強度

瓦楞紙板的面紙、里紙、芯紙和波型瓦楞紙的楞峰粘合程度，在一定單位長度內經施加測試所能承受的較大剝離力，叫做瓦楞紙板的粘合強度。粘合強度的檢測，主要是檢驗瓦楞紙板裱貼的牢度，A型瓦楞紙板的檢測，剝離架的插針應采用中3mm，而B、C型瓦楞紙板的瓦楞孑L較細，剝離架的插針則應采用①2mm比較合適。剝離架上的每根插針應正好對準瓦楞槽口的部位，且間距調相等后，將各只螺絲擰緊固定。粘合強度的檢測樣塊，要求取12塊，即從3個樣箱中分別各取4塊，其瓦楞方向為短邊的(即25mm)，材質完好無損，無脫膠、無起泡的樣塊。

五、戳穿強度

以一定形狀的角錐穿過瓦楞紙板所做的功，所顯示的稱為瓦楞紙板的戳穿強度，它的單位是：J。戳穿強度指標是采用戳穿強度測定儀進行檢驗的，檢測時，挑選3個外觀較好的樣箱，從每個樣箱的箱壁上各取4塊無破壞、無水印、無折痕和無其他外觀缺陷的紙板，規格為175mm x 175mm的檢測樣12塊。分切試樣時應注意起始線與瓦楞成平行狀態。在每次檢測之前應對儀器調零校準，其方法是：
